Oh No We Had a Flood

My client had a pristine place. He had designers working with him and organizers ( that was our team at organizedzone.com). The house was perfectly gorgeous, should have been in a fabulous decorating magazine.

Imagine coming home from a weekend get away and coming home to a flood. It was one of those cold winter weekends and a pipe broke from the top floor. When he came home Monday morning he saw that there was a lake in his living room. The water came down through all the floors levels. It’s saturated through every built-in cabinet every piece of furniture, every mattress, every light fixture every wall. Some of the precious art was saved luckily. However the family photos and keepsakes that were boxed in the basement were  soaked, they were ruined.

My organizing team and I managed the flood clear out. Which included trades, insurance guys, packing, labelling, discarding, art crater, dry cleaning, piano restoration, electrical team, ordering supplies, storage facility, moving and settling in new temporary space.

With much organization, calmness and an amazing team, everything was transitioned properly. Their family was unpacked, everything in its place beds made and floors swept.

It was upsetting for the owner, obviously yet he remained calm and reasonable. I was really inspired the way he went with the flow and commented that it is just stuff. Wow!

A good attitude in a bad situation goes a long way.

I hope you never have to deal with a flood situation like this. But if you do or know someone who is going through a flood, get the right help immediately and call us the organizers from organizedzone.com 416 414 4124. You will be glad you did.
