Is it just me? Am I revealing my age by admitting this? Do you have to be in your 20s to get it?
It seems as soon as you master one thing it’s old and you need to learn, upgrade or discard last months technology. It is so wasteful really. But, if you’re not in game and your presence isn’t seen, you virtually don’t exist on an internet search.
Personally I try to let the world know I do exist in this cyber galaxy. My tireless ineffective attempts to keep up personal lame status, business, products and services on Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, WordPress, SnapChat, Google+ just to name a few.
I attempted to work out kinks on my website with all the viruses and spam issues. I have a home and office professional organizing business, www.organizedzone.com and my website reflects that most of the time. However, with the problematic security issues, porn and selling watches spam leached into my site. OMG how embarrassing. I have hired out all different type of “experts” with a list of credentials, I have no idea what those credentials mean.
Last week I heard from a business coach that you don’t really need a website. He suggested a good Facebook page and a Funnel click page. I researched that and it’s a huge industry. Wow, where have I been.
There are abundant opportunities to spend your money on various advertising venues on all different realms online. Unfortunately I can’t tell what the difference between the legitimate ones and the scams. Everyone’s an “expert” but no one can fix the all problems.
Many of the technical help is via email in a different time zone. The ability to communicate issues effectively is often a challenge.
Apple and Google customer services are amazing. They have a simplified way to isolate the issues, make an appointment online and to schedule a conversation with a live person. I have found they have unlimited knowledge and patience. Too bad they can not help with all the other online technical challenges I deal with.
My skill set as a professional organizer and solution provider fall short in this cyber world. We can not be experts in everything, that is for sure. Helping people move, downsizing, declutter, organizing by transforming the most unimaginable spaces in a place of calm and order is what I will stick with.
My motto for to-day is let it go and let it flow.
